Archipelago Trail starting from city of Turku is a five day circular self guided cycle tour which follows the Archipelago Ring Road, one of the most popular cycling routes in Finland. You will ride through stunning archipelago sceneries. The islands are connected by numerous bridges and ferries. The peace and tranquility, particularly in the rugged outer islands, is a unique experience. Most of the roads surfaces are paved. The profile varies from fairly flat to rolling hills but altogether rather easy.

Day 1.
Individual arrival to Turku. Accommodation in city centre *** hotel.

Day 2. Turku – Merimasku, 25 km
After an optional detour to Hirvensalo island you will start your tour by cycling in direction of Naantali. Naantali is a charming and specially in summer time a lively small town by the sea. The presidential gardens are open for public access in the afternoon.

Day 3.  Naantali – Iniö, 45 km
Todays cycling takes you via Velkua and Kustavi  to the remote island of Iniö. The first part covers some rolling hills but you are in no hurry to your first ferry of today which departures in the afternoon, only once per day. From here you have about 25 km over some bridges with magnificent views to the next ferry. If you have time enjoy dinner at Laura Peterzens studio by the sea side. Your accommodation is at a beautiful and eco-friendly B&B. Fine possibilities to swim in the sea or why not enjoy a sauna bath.

Day 4. Iniö – Korpo, 35 km
Shortly after your start in the morning you will pass a marked nature trail with breathtaking views worthwhile visiting. After a ferrry ride with m/s Antonia you will be cycling through Houtskär island and over to Korpo island. In Houtskär you may visit the small village with a boat museum and the wooden church. A visit to Korpo village with a grey stone church, restaurants and local museum adds a little extra cycling.

Day 5. Korpo – Nagu, 30 km
After breakfast you will take the short ferry back to island of Nagu and follow the winding road to Nagu village. In many ways the centre of Turku Archipelago with a lively marina. For the last night accommodation and dinner we will welcome you back at B&B Västergård. Being in Finland you can, of course have a sauna bath even every evening.

Day 6. Nagu - Turku, 50 km
The last day you will cycle via the town of Parainen known for its open lime stone querry back to Turku. Accommodation in city centre *** hotel.
